By selling 80 oranges, a shopkeeper losses the selling price of 20 oranges. Find his loss percentage

let the s.p. of one orange = RS.1

loss=s.p. of 20 oranges

= Rs.1 × 20= Rs. 20

Hence,

C.P. of 80 Oranges= S.p. + loss

=80+20

= Rs.100

NOW,

Loss%=loss÷c.p.*100

= 20÷100*100

= 20%

Therefore,the loss percentage is 20.
