Answer: While there is a question of item and price we need to think like expenditure as item x price. Same here 96 articles are sold for 144 having a loss of 35% means at cost of 65% from the total but now we want to calculate a profit of 117% having sold at 108.

As i told earlier we can solve using item x price so if we want to make expenditure same we need to reverse the items if price ratio is same.

like 96 articles in 144 is a ratio of 2:3 now for 3 ratio 108 will be 36 and 2 will be 72. Next we need to find what changes we are getting. i.e., 65 : 117 For price now flip it for items it would be 117 : 65 and 117 corresponds to 72 so for 65 we wil get 40.

Hence will be 40.
