Let the cost price of a bag be k. As it loses 5% on selling, selling price=k-5/100k =95/100(k) =0.95k =
171=> k =17100/95= ₹180. Selling price if Nitya gains 5% =k+5/100(k) =105k/100 =1.05k =1.05(180)= ₹189.
171=> k =17100/95= ₹180. Selling price if Nitya gains 5% =k+5/100(k) =105k/100 =1.05k =1.05(180)= ₹189.

when she sell the bag for 171 at 5%loses .so the bag's actual prise is 5/100multiple 171.that's come 8.55.than add it with 171.so the present prise is179.55.then she have gain 5%when she sell it (5/100 multiple with 179.55. and add with 179 .that's 188.52.
