Find the cost price:

100 - 30 = 70%

70% = Rs 105

1% = 105 ÷ 70 = Rs 1.5

100% = 1.5 x 100 = Rs 150

Find the selling price to gain 40%:

40% of 1500 = 0.4 x 150 = Rs 60

Selling Price = 1500 + 600 = Rs 210

Answer: He should sell it at Rs 210

Answer:210

Step-by-step explanation:

total cost price:

100 - 30 = 70%

70% = Rs 105

1% = 105 ÷ 70 = Rs 1.5

100% = 1.5 x 100 = Rs 150

SP to gain 40%:

40% of 1500 = 0.4 x 150 = Rs 60

Selling Price = 1500 + 600 = Rs 210
