S.P=Rs 819
loss℅=9℅
so, CP=SP/(1-Loss℅/100)
=819/(1-9/100)
=819×100/91
=900rupees
gain=5℅
S.P.=C.P.(1+gain℅/100)
=900(1+5/100)
=900×21/20
=Rs945

✦ Question :-

By selling a bicycle for RS 819 , Vinay loses 9 %. At what price should he sell it to make a profit of 5 %.

❥ Answer :-

\underline{\boxed{\textsf{P = {\textbf{945rs}}}}} \qquad\qquad \bigg\lgroup\bold{At\ price \ he \ sell\ to \ get \ profit \ of \ 5 percent} \bigg\rgroup

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{GiVen:-}}}}

➹ Selling price = 819 Rs.

➹ Lose percent = 9 %

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{Find:-}}}}

✦ Price at which he sell and get profit of 8 percent .

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{Solution:-}}}}

By using formula :-

➹ CP → SP × 100 / 100 - loss %

Substituting the values in the required formula :-

\Large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: CP = SP × 100 / 100 - loss percent \: \star}}}

↠819 × 100 / 100 - 9 %

↠ 819 × 100 / 91

↠9 × 100

\bf{\longmapsto CP = 900 \: rs }

Now , we find selling price

➹SP → CP × 100 + profit % / 100

On putting the given values in the formula, we get

\Large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: SP = CP × 100 + profit percent / 100</p><p> \: \star}}}

As according to the given :-

\sf{\longmapsto v = 0 + 3 \times 2}

\sf{\longmapsto v = 0 + 6 }

↠ 900 × 100 + 5 % / 100

↠ 900 × 105 / 100

↠ 9 × 105

\bf{\longmapsto 945 \: rs = SP }

Hence ,

\underline{\boxed{\textsf{P = {\textbf{945rs}}}}} \qquad\qquad \bigg\lgroup\bold{At\ price \ he \ sell\ to \ get \ profit \ of \ 5 percent} \bigg\rgroup
