Answer:

Cost Price of fan is 3333.33 rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

given

celling fan SP = 3000

loss = 10%

cost price CP = ?

let CP of fan is X

loss 10% of CP  = X ×10/100 = X/10

now SP = CP - loss

SP = X - X/10

3000 = (10X - X ) /10

3000 = 9X / 10

30000 = 9X

X = 30000/9

X = 3333.33 rupees

CP of fan is 3333.33 rupees

We know that SP = CP - Loss

Let the CP of the ceiling fan be 'x'

According to the question,

x minus 10% of x will give 3000

x - 10x/100 = 3000

LCM of 100 and 1 = 100

10x/100 × 1/1 = 10x/100

x/1 × 100/100 = 100x/100

100x - 10x/100 = 3000

90x/100 = 3000

90x = 3000×100

90x = 300000

x = 300000/90

x = 1000/3 (Simplest Form)

x = 333 \frac{1}{3}

x = ₹3333.33
