Let C.P. = x

According to the question,

x - 10 % of x = 1440

x -  \frac{10}{100} × x =1440

x - x/10  = 1440

(10x - x) = 14400

9x = 14400

x = 14400/9

x =1600

Then, shopkeeper bought it for Rs 1600

i hope this will help you

Heya ✋

Let see your answer !!!!!

Given that

SP of a chair = ₹1,440

Loss = 10 %

CP = ?

Solution

CP = SP × 100 / 100 - Loss %

= 1,440 × 100 / 100 - 10

= 1,44,000/90

= ₹1,600

Thanks :))))
