By selling a chair of 30 the shopkeeper had 25 percent profit .Find the price did the dealer pay for it.

1 unit = 30/5 = 6
4 unit = 4×6 = 24 will be the answer

Profit % = 25%

Profit % is on CP

This implies that The equation will be

x + 25% of x = 30

x + 1/4 of x = 30

x + x/4 = 30

5x/4 = 30

x = 30 × 4/5

x = 6×4

x = 24
