so, A/Q

x + 20% of x = 600

x + 20x/100 = 600

120x/100 = 600

x = ( 600 × 100 ) / 120

x = 500

Hence, the CP of Vase = Rs. 500

Step-by-step explanation:

  • if he sells for 600 and had a loss of 20 %

  • that mean 600 is 80 of listed price or what shopkeeper bought for

so 600=0.8l.p

l.p =600/0.8

l.p=750

for the 20 % gain shop keeper should sell 20 % greater then listed price so.

s.p=750+0.2*750

s.p=1.2*750

s.p=900

ans:900
