⇒By selling a stool for rs 67.50, a carpenter loses 10 percent.
⇒s.p=rs 67.50
l⇒oss%=10%
⇒c.p=[s.p*100/100-loss]
⇒[67.5*100/90]
⇒ 75
we have to find,How much percent would he gain or lose by selling it for rs 82.50
⇒profit = s.p-c.p
⇒82.5-75
⇒ 7 .5
⇒ gain% = gain * 100/c.p
⇒ 9.09 % gain
hope it helps

Given,
Selling price = 67.50
Loss% = 10
Cost Price = (100/100-Loss%) × SP
= (100/100-10) × 67.5
= 100/90 ×67.5
= 6750/90
= 75
If he sell it for 82.5 then
Profit = 82.5-75
= 5.5
Profit% = Profit/CP × 100
= 5.5/75 × 100
= 550/75
= 7.3%
Hope it helps.
Selling price = 67.50
Loss% = 10
Cost Price = (100/100-Loss%) × SP
= (100/100-10) × 67.5
= 100/90 ×67.5
= 6750/90
= 75
If he sell it for 82.5 then
Profit = 82.5-75
= 5.5
Profit% = Profit/CP × 100
= 5.5/75 × 100
= 550/75
= 7.3%
Hope it helps.
