Given:

SP of shirt is ₹432.

Loss%=4%

To Find:

SP when gain% is 6%

Solution:

  • CP of shirt:

    \dfrac{100}{100-loss percent}\times SP

    =₹ \dfrac{100}{100-4}\times 432

    =₹ \dfrac{100}{96}\times 432

    =₹450.

  • Now, CP=₹450,desired gain%=6%

  • Desired SP:

    =\dfrac{100+gain percent}{100}\times CP

    = ₹ \dfrac{100+6}{100}\times 450

    =₹ \dfrac{106}{100}\times 450

    =₹477

  • ∴The desired selling price is ₹477
