In the case of Rs 8,000

Let the cost price of a TV =100

20% loss on cost price=20%× 100=20/100×100=20

Selling price=100-20= Rs80

When sp=80 , cp=100

when sp=1 , cp=100/80

when sp=8000, cp=100/80×8000= Rs 10,000

Therefore Cost price of a Tv=10,000

In the case of Rs 11,000

Cp=10,000

Profit = 11,000-10,000= Rs 1,000

Hence the profit =1,000 (Ans)
