By selling an almirah for rupees 10500, a man losses ... Find its cost price. Ask for ... Almirah sold at Rupees = Rs. 10500. Loss = 1/6x selling price = cost price - loss

Here is your answer.

Let the Cost price is x

Loss = x/6

Selling price is Rs 10,500

As we know the formula
SP = CP - Loss
10500 = x -  \frac{x}{6}  \\  \\ 10500 =  \frac{6x - x}{6}  \\  \\ 10500 =  \frac{5x}{6}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{10500 \times 6}{5}  \\  \\ x = 2100 \times 6 \\  \\ x = 12600
Therefore Cost price is Rs 12,600
