Let sp be x then profit = 25 percent of x = 25/100*x= x/4

profit = sp - cp

cp = sp - profit

= x - x/4 = 3x/4

therefore , profit percent = profit/cp * 100 = x/4 ÷ 3x/4 * 100 = 100/3 % = 33⅓ %
