Given data,

The  amount of selling price of an article is 640

After selling the article the person will go into loss.

The loss percentage is given as 20%

The loss can be calculated as

640\times\frac{20}{100}

64\times 2

128

The amount of loss percentage is 128

The loss is added to the selling price we get the actual price that is cost price.

Cost price = Loss + Selling price

128+640

768

The cost price of the article is 768

If he sells the article for rupees 960.

We have to find how much he gains profit.

Now we have to subtract cost price from the estimated selling price.

960-768

=192

Therefore, the profit he gains with the estimated selling price is 192.
