Given : Selling price of an article = 2373.

Given : Gain = 13%.

We know that cost price of the article : [100 / (100 + Gain%)] * SP

⇒ [100/ (100 + 13)] * 2373

⇒ [100/ 113] * 2373

⇒ 2100.

Therefore, the cost price of the article = 2100.

Hope this helps!

Solutions :-

We have,

Selling price of an article = Rs 2373
Gain = 13%

Now,
Find the cost price of an article :-

C.P =  \frac{S.P \times 100}{100 + gain}  \\  \\  =  \frac{2373 \times 100}{100 + 13}  \\  \\  =  \frac{237300}{113}  = 2100

Answer : Cost of article = Rs 2100
