Let the CP of the article be ₹x.
On selling the article at ₹2700,
loss = ₹(x-2700)
loss% = 10
loss/CP *100 = 10
(x-2700) / x = 1/10
10x-27000 = x
9x = 27000
x = 3000
CP of the article = ₹3000
Now, New SP = ₹3600, CP = ₹3000
gain = ₹(3600-3000) = ₹600
gain% = gain/CP * 100 = 600/3000 * 100 = 20%
