By selling oranges at 32 for a rupee a man loses 40%.How many for a rupee should he sell to gain 20%?​

Answer:

Let, the price of orange = x

now,

If the price he is selling at = x - 0.4x = 0.6x

Also,

0.6x = 32

x = 320/6 = 53.33

The price he should sell at to have 20% profit,

=> 53.33 + (0.2 × 53.33)

=> 64 ruppe
