Step-by-step explanation:

I am assuming the zeroes as a and b. So we have to find 1/a - 1/b.

In the given polynomial p(x), a+b= -2

and ab= -3.

1/a - 1/b = (b - a)/ab = {√(b+a)²-4ab}/ab

= {√(-2)² -4(-3)}/(-3)= √16/(-3) = ±4/(-3)

=±4/3

I think the mistake that you did was putting a= -3 and b =1 but it can also be the other way as a=1 and b= -3 and then you will get +4/3
