two numbers we have to find whose sum will be (-9) and product will be 8

and

(-1) + (-8) = (-9)

so,

x² - 9x + 8

x² - 1x - 8x + 8

x(x-1) -8(x - 1) [taking x and 8 common]

(x - 8)(x - 1)

hence

two zeroes are 8 and 1
