Answer:

Sol:

Given to find out the areas after splitting the given figure.

So, now let us tng to split the given figure as possible

we get as following

Given After spliting the given figure

Now let us find out the Areas of the figure thus obtained after spliting.

Every figure is in a rectangle from as we know that

area \: of \: a \: rectangle \:  = l \times b \: sq \: units \\  \\ for \: rectangle \: 1 = area \: rectangle. \\  \\

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide the figure into 3 rectangles, i.e, Rect ( IFGH), Rect (EJCD) and Rect ( ABJI ).

Here, Area of rect ( IFGH) = Area of rect ( EJCD), i.e, l × b = 2 × 1 = 2 ( cm^2)

Consider Rect (ABJI).

l = 5

b = AI = 1 ( IH + AI = 3

2 + AI = 3

AI = 3-2=1)

Area = l×b = 5 × 1 = 5 (cm^2)

Area of the given figure = Area(rect IFGH) + Area ( rect EJCD) +Area ( rect ABJI )

= 2 + 2 + 5

= 9 ( cm ^2 )
