3x-2y=5 _____(1)

5x-3y=13_______(2)

by substitution method

from equation 1

x=(5+2y)/3______(3)

putting value of x in equation 2

5((5+2y)/3 )-3y=13

((25+10y)-30y)/3=13

25-20y=49

-20y=49-25

-20y=24

y=20/24

y=10/12

y=5/6

putting value of y in 3rd equation

x=(5+2y)/3

x=(5+10/6)/3

x=(5+5/3)/3

x=(15+5)9

x=20/9
