4x+3y=6*12

4x+3y=72

2)2x+6y/12=6

2x+6y=72

x=72-3y/4

substitute in 2)

2x+6y=72

2(72-3y/4)+6y=72

72-3y/2+6y=72

72-3y+12y/2=72

72-3y+12y=72*2

9y=36-72

9y= -36

y=-36/9

y= -4

substitute in 1)

4x+3y=72

4x+3(-4)=72

4x-12=72

4x=72+12

4x=84

x=84/4

x=21
