Answer:

let x/2+y=0.8 eqn 1,

7/( x+y/2)=10 eqn 2

(from eqn 1) x+2y=1.6

x=1.6-2y

in eqn 2 put x=1.6-2y

7/(1.6-2y+y/2)=10

14/3.2-4y+y=10

14=10(3.2-3y)

7=5(3.2-3y)

7=16-15y

15y=16-7

y=9/15

y=3/5

from x=1.6-2y

x=1.6-6/5

x=8-6/5

x=2/5
