The East India Company has got the power as law that no other traders connected with indians (our traders) and they have a paid gomasthas ( a paid servant )

to check the work and priduction of fine textile:- quality , well labaoured etc..

The countryside people were tortured by gomasthas and was not able to work for them anymore..so. , they have small plots in which they cropped the cottons for their family but their family was not satisfied with that much(needs etc)

so they gave their plots on rent and their family including womens also, they used to weave and sell to earn money..
