By the graphical method, find whether the
following pair of equations are consistent
or not. If consistent, solve them.
(i) 3x + y + 4 = 0 (ii) x - 2y = 6
6x - 2y + 4 = 0 3x - 6y = 0

(iii) x + y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Q1. x + y = 3; 2x + 5y = 12

Sol:

2x + 5y = 12

We have,

x + y = 3

When y = 0 we have x =3

When x= 0 we have y =3

Thus we have the following table giving points on the line x+y =3

X 0 3

Y 3 0

Now, 2+5y= 12

= y = 12−2x5

When x= 1, we have

= y = 12−2(1)5 = 4

Thus we have the following table giving points on the line 2x+5y=12

hope this helps ✌️✌️
