Mass of gun, M = 10kg
Mass of bullet, m = 60g = 0.05kg
Velocity of bullet, v = 60 m/s
velocity of gun, V = ?
Momentum of the system(gun and bullet) before firing = 0
Momentum of the system(gun and bullet) after firing = mv + MV
Using conservation of momentum,
mv + MV = 0
0.06 × 60 + 10V = 0
3.6 + 10v = 0
v = 0.36 m/s
