1st Question:

 {sin}^{2}  \alpha  +  {cos}^{2}  \alpha

(1 -  {cos}^{2} \alpha ) +  {cos}^{2}   \alpha

 {sin}^{2}  \pi +  { cos}^{2} \pi

2nd Question:

 {sec}^{2}  \alpha  -  {tan}^{2}  \alpha

(1 +  {tan}^{2} \alpha )  -  {tan}^{2}   \alpha

 {sec}^{2} \pi -  {tan}^{2} \pi

I have used pi instead of thita...
