Hello friend.....☺

Here is your solution.....☺

♦ By substitution method :

⭐ x + 2y = -1

=> x = -1 - 2y -----------(1)

also, we have

2x - 3y = 12 -----------(2)

Putting value of x in equation (2) we get,

=> 2( -1 - 2y) - 3y = 12

=> -2 - 4y - 3y = 12

=> -7y = 12 + 2

=> -7y = 14

=> y = -2 -----------(3)

putting value of y in equation (1) we get,

=> x = -1 - 2y

=> x = -1 - 2 × -2

=> x = -1 +4

=> x = 3

Hence, x = 3 and y = -2

Thanks....☺

Hope this helps you.....☺

X+2y= -1

X = -1-2y .....(1)

2x-3y = 12

2( -1-2y) -3y = 12

-2-4y - 3y = 12

-2-12 = 7y

-14 = 7y

=> y = -2

X = -1-2(-2)

X = -1+4

X = 3
