Answer:

Given:-

By what number should \dfrac{13}{5} be multiple to get \dfrac{13}{7} .

To Find:-

The other or second number.

Note:-

Here, we will find the other or second number by "First/one number × Second/other number = Their product" and also by transposing.

Transposing - For finding unknown value, known value needs to be transposed from its side to another and also signs are changed. For example - Multiple becomes Divisional.

Two fractions can't be divided easily, for that we use reciprocal method. For example -  \dfrac{1}{x} ÷ \dfrac{1}{x} \ \ changes \ \ to \ \ \dfrac{1}{x} × \dfrac{x}{1}

Solution:-

 \huge\red{First/one \ \ number = \dfrac{13}{5}}

 \huge\red{Product \ \ of \ \ 1st/one \ \ and \ \ 2nd/other \ \ number = \dfrac{13}{7}}

 \huge\red{\ \ \ \ Second/one \ \ number = ?, Let \ \ it \ \ be "x"}

According to note first point~

▪︎ First/one \ \ number × Second/other \ \ number = Their \ \ product

▪︎ \dfrac{13}{5} × x = \dfrac{13}{7}

▪︎ \dfrac{13}{5}x = \dfrac{13}{7}

According to note second point ( Transposing )~

▪︎ x = \dfrac{13}{7} ÷ \dfrac{13}{5}

According to note third point ( Reciprocal )~

▪︎ x = \dfrac{13}{7} × \dfrac{5}{13}

▪︎ x = \dfrac{65}{91}

After reducing by 13~

▪︎ x = \dfrac{5}{7}

 \huge\pink{Second/other \ \ number = x => \dfrac{5}{7}}

Checking:-

Let's check that First/One number × Second/Other number = Their product or not.

 First/One \ \ number × Second/Other \ \ number = Their \ \ product \implies ?

 \dfrac{13}{5} × \dfrac{5}{7} = \dfrac{13}{7} \implies ?

 \dfrac{65}{35} = \dfrac{13}{7} \implies ?

After dividing~

 \dfrac{13}{7} = \dfrac{13}{7} \implies ✔

 \huge\green{Hence, Proved : Second/other \ \ number = \dfrac{5}{7}}

Answer:-

Hence, the second/other number =  \dfrac{5}{7} .
