Question:-

By what number should (-5)-1 be multiplied so that the product is equal to ( 11)-1

Answer :-

let the number be x

so , according to the question..

(-5)(-1) ×x= (-11)

(both minuses are cancelled)

5 ×x=(-11)

x=(-11)/5

hence your answer is (-11/5) or (-2.2)
