Answer:

Sum of \dfrac{-3}{4} and \dfrac{-2}{3} is:

 \dfrac{ - 3}{4}  +  \dfrac{ - 2}{3} \\  \\  \dfrac{ - 9 - 8}{12}   \\  \\  \dfrac{ - 17}{12}

Let the number by which sum is divided be x.

 \dfrac{  \frac{ - 17}{12} }{x}  =  \dfrac{ - 1}{3}  \\  \\   \dfrac{ - 17}{12x}  =  \dfrac{ - 1}{3}  \\  \\  - 12x =  - 51 \\  \\ 12x = 51 \\  \\ x =  \dfrac{51}{12}

Hope it helps
