Assume that the number is x.
According to the question
x × 3⁻⁹ = 3
⇒ x = 3/3⁻⁹
⇒ x = 3×3⁹ [ since 1/x⁻ⁿ = xⁿ ]
⇒ x = 3¹⁺⁹
⇒ x = 3¹⁰ [ since xᵃxᵇ = xᵃ⁺ᵇ ]
Hence if 3¹⁰ multiply with 3⁻⁹ the result is 3.
