Question :–

By what rational number should be divided 22/7 so as to get the number -11/14 ?

Answer :–

 4

Solution :–

Let the number be  x

According to the question :–

We have,

 \frac{( \frac{22}{7} )}{x}  =  \frac{ - 11}{14}

 \frac{22}{7x}  =  \frac{ - 11}{14}

By Cross Multiplication :-

 \implies {22 \times 14}  =  - 11 \times 7x

 \implies 308 = 77x

 \implies \frac{\cancel{308}}{\cancel{77}}  = x

 \implies 4 = x

 \huge \boxed{x = 4}
