Air balloons are filled with helium gas which makes an upward force as it is lighter than the balloon. This property is called buoyancy.

A He+ (HELIUM) filled balloon moves upward opposing the gravity. This is mainly due to the cause of density of helium in the balloon. It has a lesser density so it flies

It is like ice floating in water.
