The law that is used to find the direction of the force acting on the current carrying conductor is Fleming's Left Hand Rule.
The law states:
Stretch your middle finger,forefinger and thumb mutually perpendicular. If the middle finger gives the direction of current and the forefinger gives the direction of magnetic field, then thumb will give the direction of motion.
