surface area of sphere = 4 pi r square
so by multiplying 1 /3 pi r in it the volume of the sphere can be obtained..

The volume is 30 cubic feet. In other words, to get the surface area of a sphere, you take four times pi times the radius squared. And to get the volume of a sphere, you take the 4/3 of pi times the radius cubed.
