Nacl and KNO₃ both are resolvable in water but solubility of KNO₃ is more. When we heat the mixture of sodium chloride and potassium nitrate then the potassium nitrate dissolve in hot water and on cool it then we get crystals of NaCl. Such sodium chloride and potassium nitrate will be separate.
