Factor out 648 that is... 2 x 3 x 2 x 3 x 2 x 3 x 3
Combine factors that make it a cube.
That means.. 2^3 x 3^3 x 3
Since 3 is the only remaining number that cannot be combined to make a cube
We have to multiply two more 3’s to make it a cube that is 9.

So the smallest number to make it a perfect cube is 9
