1.A Constitution is necessary because of the following reasons: It is an important law of the land. It determines the relationship of the citizens with the governments. It lays down principles and guidelines which are required for people belonging to different ethnic and religious groups to live in harmony.

2."Constitutional principles" are "unalterable" because they form the "basic structure of the constitution". Any law or policy introduced by the parliament which undermines the "basic structure of the constitution" cannot be passed and will be considered null.

3.Secularism is a belief system that rejects religion, or the belief that religion should not be part of the affairs of the state or part of public education. The principles of separation of church and state and of keeping religion out of the public school system are an example ofsecularism.
