Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Medicine is packed in boxes, each weighing 4 kg 500g.

To find:-

How many such boxes can be loaded in a van which cannot carry beyond 800 kg?

Solution:-

Weight of the each box = 4 kg 500g

We know that

1 kg = 1000 g

1 g = 1/1000kg

4kg 500 g = 4+(500/1000) = 4+(0.5) = 4.5 kg

It cannot bear beyond 800kg

So the maximum weight =800 kg

Total possible weight of all boxes which are loaded in the van = 800 kg

Let the number of boxes can be loaded in the van be 'n'

Total weight of all 'n' boxes = 4.5×n = 4.5n kg

=> 4.5n kg = 800 kg

=> 4.5 n = 800

=> n = 800/4.5

=> n = 800/(45/10)

=>n = 800/(9/2)

=> n = 800×(2/9)

=>n = (800×2)/9

=>n = 1600/9

=> n = 177.78(approximately)

So, The number of objects does not a decimal

n= 177.78 ~ 177

n = 177

Answer:-

Number of boxes can ne loaded to packed in the van = 177
