As we know that : Time = Distance/speed
Let, the length of the train be L and speed = V
Then, according to the question :
(L+110)/V = 40 ... (1)
L/V = 30 ....(2)
=> L/V + 110/V = 40
=> 30 + 110/V = 40
=> 30V + 110 = 40V
=> 10V = 110
=> V = 11 m/s
On putting the value of V in equation (2)
=> L = 30V
=> L = 30×11
=> L = 330 m
So, the Length of the train will be 330 m
