(3p + 7)^2 - 84p = (3p - 7)^2

Using (a + b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab

And (a - b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab

=> (3p)^2 + (7)^2 + 2(3p)(7) - 84p = (3p)^2 + (7)^2 - 2(3p)(7)

=> 9p^2 + 49 + 28p - 84p = 9p^2 + 49 - 28p

9p^2 and 49 on both sides get cancelled.

=> 28p - 84p = -28p

=> -56p = - 28p

=> -56p + 28p = 0

=> -28p = 0

p = 0

hope it helps
