It is given that 480 m wire is  required o fence a square pond with three rounds

1) length of wire for 3 rounds = 480 m

length of wire for 1 round = 480/3

length of wire for 1 round = 160 m

2) Perimeter of the pond will be 160 m

3) To find the length of the pond we will use the formula of perimeter

perimeter = 4 (side)

           160 = 4 (side)

         side = 160/4

         side = 40 m

Let the perimeter be p.

Given:

Wire = 3p

>p = \frac{wire}{3}

>p = \frac{480m}{3}

>p = 160m

Answer: The perimeter of the pond as well as wire required for one round as well is 160m.

Now, we can find the length of the pond by reversing the formula of perimeter:

\frac{perimeter}{4}=length

>\frac{160m}{4}

>40m

Answer: 40m is the length of the pond.
