Distance of the spherical mirror from the candle flame is :

The distance of the candle flame form the wall is = 1.5 m

The focal length of he spherical mirror is (f) = 1 m

Let, the distance of the candle flame from the mirror is = u

The distance of the image from the spherical mirror is = v

                                                                                          = (1.5 + u)

As the image is real, so the wall on which the image will be formed will be in the same side of the object.

From the mirror formula, we know,

\frac{1}{v}+ \frac{1}{u}= \frac{1}{f}

\frac{1}{(1.5+u)}+ \frac{1}{u}= \frac{1}{1}

By solving this equation, we can get the value of u.
