A man moves on a straight horizantal road with
a block of mass 2kg in his hand. If the covers a
distance of 40m with an acceleration of 0.5 m/s²
the work done by the man on the block during
the motion is (g = 10 m/s²).

Answer:

Given, Mass of the block=2kg

Acceleration=0.5m/s

2

Force=ma=2×0.5N=1N

Distance=40m

Workdone=F.S=1×40J=40J

Explanation:

Given ;

•mass of a block = 2 kg

•acceleration of a block

= acceleration of a man

= 0.5 m/s^2

• Displacement = 40 m

F = ma

F = 2×0.5

F = 1 N

Work Done = Force×Displacement

= 1×40

= 40 J
