Solution :-

A ------------ C ------------- D ------------- B .

So,

→ AC = CD = DB

given that,

→ Coordinates of A = (5, -3)

→ Coordinates of B = (2, -9)

→ Coordinates of C = (4, -5)

So,

→ AC : CD = 1 : 1

Let coordinates of D are (x, y) .

then,

→ x = (x1 + x2)/2

→ 4 = (5 + x)/2

→ 8 = 5 + x

→ x = 3

and,

→ y = (y1 + y2)/2

→ (-5) = (-3 + y)/2

→ (-10) = (-3) + y

→ y = 3 - 10

→ y = (-7)

checking for CD = DB now,

→ 3 = (4 + 2)/2 = 6/2 = 3

→ (-7) = (-5 - 9)/2 = (-14/2) = (-7)

therefore, we can conclude that, the coordinates of D are (3, -7) .
