Answer : 8 Days

As C worked for 2 days alone, 1/8 ( 6/48 ) of the work was completed.
Then when d joined, 1/16 + 1/12 of the work was completed per day..
1/16 + 1/12 = 3/48 + 4/48 = 7/48 of the work was completed per day
As 1/8 = 6/48 of the work was completed by c, 42/48 was remaining.
42 ÷ 7 = 6

So, 6+2 = 8 days were taken to complete the work..
