Explanation:

1. The Northern Plains generally flat and level land, having alluvial deposits laid down by the rivers such as the Indus, the Ganga, the Brahmaputra and their tributaries. These river plains provide fertile land for cultivation. Hence, a large population prefers to live here.

2.Kashmiri belongs to the Dardic subgroup of the Indo Aryan language. While the origin of Kashmiri as a language was hugely influenced by Vedic Sanskrit and over the years some Persian and Uzbic influence has also been assimilated. Hindi however is the Sanskritized version of Khari Boli - which in turn is a form of what is called Hindustani. This essentially stemmed from Prakrit and Classic Sanskrit.

3.  Makar Sankranti. Celebrated to mark the solar cycle and to venerate the Sun (a religious symbol in Hinduism), Makar Sankranti is celebrated across various states of India under different names (eg Lohri, Pongal).

4.India has innumerable cuisines, and flavors vary from state to state—and often within states while everyone probably has their own opinion about what the ‘best’ Indian vegetarian food. Two popular sweet dishes...  Kulfi and Gulab Jamun.

5. Unity in diversity is a concept of "unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation" that shifts focus from unity based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, linguistic, social, religious, political, ideological and/or psychological differences towards a more complex unity based on an understanding.

2.Kashmiri is old Indo-Aryan Language ,originated from Sanskrit , It still has many sanskrit words , there is difference between the Kashmiri Hindus and Muslims speak , Muslims Kashmiri has more urdu words while Hindu Kashmiri has Sanskrit words e.g. water is called "aabh" in muslim kashmiri and "pooyan" in hindi kashmiri. But it doesn't sound like Hindi at all .

There is big learning curve to master Kashmiri especially if you are starting late . Pronunciation is very typical and the getting it right is difficult task. After frequent muslim invasions from Central Asia it has adopted some Irani , postho words too, When I watch some Irani movie even when I don't understand the language I find is similar sounding like Kashmiri , Not a single word is same still it sounds like Kashmiri , Tone - pitch way of speaking.
