1) The equatorial region lies close to the sun and the poles are far from the sun. therefore the equator receives more heat.

2 Weather reflects short-term conditions of the atmosphere while climate is the average daily weather for an extended period of time at a certain location.

3. Chennai lies near to the oceans. it is surrounded by Indian Ocean, Arabian sea and bay of Bengal. therefore the temperatures are maintained due to sea and land breeze having a moderate climate.

4. Wind carries moisture into an atmosphere, as well as hot or cold air into a climate which affects weather patterns. Therefore, a change in wind results in a change of weather. A major factor that determines wind direction is air pressure.

5. there are 5 heat zones. Torrid zone is the hottest zone which lies in the equator. there are 2 Temperate zones which lie within the tropic of cancer and Capricorn having moderate temperature. there are 2 Frigid zone which lie in the poles having extreme cold weather.
